Cops and jail
In ROB RUN (Kefir) the police are other players. Looty Bay is short of them, the station hires without a background check, and a surrender is a rules event, not a cutscene.
Hiring and pay
When the station has an opening you can sign up. The job issues a standard kit and a patrol car. A police badge unlocks better issued gear. Pay comes from a share of confiscated goods, from arrests, and from bribes. You are not risking your own weapons the way a robber risks a backpack. The overview also says the income ceiling sits under a successful criminal. No dollar figures are attached.

The 1 November playtest note announces planned changes: longer cop respawns, pistols only at server start, and better gear unlocking over time. It also promises purchasable badges with rarity based on the district you live in. Kefir says these changes will roll out as they become ready; the note does not confirm that they are all live.
The party message
The query “not all party members took confiscated goods” appears in keyword research. The cited announcements and help articles do not explain that message, its trigger, or a fix. No verified sharing rule is available. The help center also gives no jail-duration formula.
